Typing a long web address in a classroom wastes time. A QR code gets a class or a parent to the right page in a second. Here is how schools use them.
Put a code on a worksheet or display board that opens a video, reading or online exercise.
A code on the school letter opens a longer PDF, a form or a calendar, so the letter stays short.
A code on a poster for a parents' evening or sports day opens the sign-up page.
On open days, codes at key points can open a campus map or a short video about a department.
A code is only a link. Safety depends on the destination, so check every link, and teach pupils to look at the address that appears before they open it.
Not with a static code. A dynamic code can be redirected, which helps if a form moves or a link breaks.
Static codes are free to create. Editable dynamic codes are part of Pro, with a 7-day trial for new accounts.
