Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about PurpleQR — from setup to your first scan.

PurpleQR is an all-in-one QR code platform. Create beautiful static or dynamic QR codes for URLs, WhatsApp, Wi-Fi, vCards, PDFs, social media, events, and more — with full customisation and scan analytics built in.
Website URL, PDF, Images, Video, Profile Card, Multiple Links, Social Media, App, Instagram, MP3, Menu, Feedback, Event, Facebook, Coupon, Playlist and GS1 2D Barcode — plus static Text, E-mail, Call, SMS, WhatsApp and Wi-Fi codes.
Register for a free PurpleQR account, choose your QR type, fill in the details, customise the design, and download or share. No coding required.
Yes. Every new account gets a 7-day free trial with every Pro feature — no credit card needed. When the trial ends, static codes keep working forever; dynamic (hosted) codes pause until you upgrade to Pro, and nothing is deleted.
Static QR codes encode data directly and cannot be changed after printing. Dynamic QR codes point to a short link you can update anytime without reprinting — they also track scan counts, locations, and devices.
On the Pro plan you can create unlimited QR codes across all supported types. Each can be independently styled, framed, and downloaded in PNG, SVG, or PDF.
Yes. Choose from 5 dot styles, 28 frame styles, custom colors, gradient fills, and upload your own logo or choose from built-in icons — all with a live preview.
Yes — that is the key benefit of dynamic QR codes. Edit the destination URL or content from your dashboard and the printed QR code automatically reflects the change.
Folders let you organise your QR codes into groups — by campaign, client, or location — right from the dashboard sidebar.
Save any QR code’s style (shape, colors, frame, logo) as a template so you can reuse it instantly for new codes.
Yes — dynamic QR codes can open a branded landing page instead of a raw link, with your own colors, logo, and content.
Yes. Upload a list of links (or other content) and PurpleQR generates a QR code for each entry in one go.
See the Pricing section above for current monthly and annual prices. Both include unlimited QR codes of all types, dynamic QR codes, custom landing pages, bulk creation, scan analytics and API access — annual billing is the cheaper option.
Yes. Pro access always continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Where a plan renews automatically you can cancel from Dashboard → Subscription; where a purchase is a one-time payment for one period, nothing renews, so there is nothing to cancel. Payments are generally non-refundable because of the free trial — see our Refund Policy.
Payments are processed by our payment partners (Cashfree and, where enabled, Stripe). Cards, and where offered UPI and net banking, are available at checkout. We never see or store your card details.
No. PurpleQR charges a flat monthly or annual fee — scan as much as you like with zero overage costs.
Yes. Use your API key to create, update, and fetch your QR codes programmatically from your own apps.
Go to Dashboard → Settings → API Keys and generate one. Keys are shown only once — store them securely.
Yes. Keys are hashed at rest and only ever shown in full at creation time.
Full endpoint documentation is available on the API Docs page, linked from your dashboard.
