Is the scanned data sent to PurpleQR?
No. The camera image is decoded in your browser and never uploaded.
Why does the scanner say my browser is not supported?
This tool uses the browser's built-in barcode detection, which is available in Chrome, Edge and most Android browsers. On an iPhone, open the normal Camera app and point it at the code.
Is it safe to open a scanned link?
A QR code is only a link, and it can point anywhere. This scanner shows the full address first and never opens it for you. Only open links you trust.
