Help us keep PurpleQR safe — tell us about harmful QR codes or links.

Last updated: 31 October 2026

What to report

Tell us about any PurpleQR QR code, short link or hosted page that you believe is:

  • phishing, a scam, or an attempt to steal passwords or payment details
  • malware or a malicious download
  • illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit content
  • infringing your copyright or trademark
  • impersonating a person or organisation

How to report

Email support@purpleqr.com with the subject "Report abuse" and include:

  • the short link (for example purpleqr.com/abc123) or a screenshot of the QR code
  • what is wrong and where you found the code
  • for copyright or trademark claims: what work is yours, proof of ownership and your contact details

Please do not send passwords or payment details.

What happens next

We review reports as quickly as we can. A code that clearly breaks our Terms of Service can be disabled right away without notice, and repeat or serious offenders lose their account. We may share information with the authorities where the law requires it.

Staying safe when you scan

Check the address your phone shows before you open it. Be careful with codes stuck over other codes, and never enter passwords or card details on a page you reached from a code you do not trust.
